How to Meet Crossdressers
How to meet crossdressers is one of the most frequent questions we hear. We have been involved in a number of message forums, chat rooms and social media pages and we’ve enjoyed meeting and exchanging e-mails with many nice people. The question of how to meet other crossdressers comes up regularly. The terminology of the question varies sometimes but the question remains the same. People desperately want to meet people who share a common bond or who will at least be understanding and supportive. I sincerely hope something here helps you make a special connection.
Let’s start out by talking about terminology. Many well-meaning people have blown their chances of making a special connection with crossdressers by using the wrong terms — terms that come off as offensive, even when they aren’t intended that way.
Tips For Meeting Crossdressers!
T-Girls are special
Femininity is a tremendous sensation for crossdressers. We love the feeling of being sexy, attractive and feminine. Sometimes we enjoy the attention of a gentleman, sometimes a woman and sometimes other crossdressers. There is a place for everyone in the cross-dressing world. One thing I’ve noticed is when a t-girl feels she is being treated respectfully, as a woman, she is likely to be quite open to a potential friendship or relationship. It all depends on the nature of the interaction of course. Some guys have told me that no woman can make them feel as good as a t-girl. Well, the reality is that t-girls know their way around the male body. So remember that crossdressers and transgender women are special and they can make you feel special too. (continued below)

Identify what you’re looking for
It helps to identify if you’re looking for (or at least open to) a long-term relationship, short-term relationship or a sexual hookup. Do you want to meet a pre-op, post-op, crossdresser, etc? Perhaps you’re interested in a sexual experience but you’re open to the idea that it could lead to a long-term relationship. It helps to know exactly what you’re looking for and to be able to clearly state your intentions. This way you’re more likely to meet up with exactly the right match for you. It doesn’t matter. We don’t judge, but think about it and make sure you outline your expectations.
Understand that not all T-Girls are the same
A basic understanding of the various types of T-Girls will be very helpful. A common mistake is to assume that all T-girls are the same — that crossdressers are the same as transsexuals and shemales. This is risky thinking and your misunderstanding could cause you to miss out on an opportunity to meet the T-girl of your dreams. Some T-girls are heterosexual male crossdressers. They really aren’t interested in men. Others are bisexual and may be open to a hookup or more. Some crossdressers are looking for men, others are looking for women. Some are transsexuals who are preparing for complete sex changes, while others intend to live as female but non-op. T-girls all fall somewhere within a broad gender spectrum. Pay attention in the profiles as T-girls describe themselves and you will gain insight into exactly where they are in their life and where they intend to go. This will help you determine whether it is a potential match and how to approach her. A friendly conversation should be able to resolve any remaining questions you may have.
Use proper terminology
You will quickly learn that most crossdressers don’t like being called shemales. While some of us don’t take exception to the term, it is an error in terminology that can end a potential relationship before it has a chance to begin. Many admirers have struck out because of a misguided attempt to be friendly where they simply throw out the wrong term in a message. Here is a good rule to follow; Don’t refer to anyone as a shemale, transsexual, transvestite, crossdresser, etc. until you have asked what she wants to be called. A polite inquiry should prompt a t-girl to let you know exactly what term she prefers. If you must use a term, rather than a person’s name, perhaps the term transgender is the least offensive of all the terms. Remember that identify is very important to transgender people and try not to be offensive.
Search the crossdresser dating profiles
Crossdresser dating profiles are one of the best ways to meet like-minded people. Most people in chat rooms and message forums aren’t looking for dates so they are likely to be offended and give you the boot if you start hitting on their members. In contrast, the people who submit personal profiles are interested in meeting others for friendship or romance — or both! I recommend that you search the crossdresser dating profiles to see if you find someone interesting in your area. If so, respond to their ad to see if you can begin corresponding. Perhaps this will result in a personal meeting and romance if all goes well. Try placing your own personal ad to greatly increase your odds of meeting someone. A recent photo showing your body (and preferably your face) is an absolute must. Crossdresser personals are one of the most effective and least expensive ways to meet quality people. I’d love to hear your success story!
Visit the transgender friendly nightclubs
You may wish to find a local transgender friendly nightclub or social scene where you can meet crossdressers and trans people in person. You will immediately know if there is an attraction with the people you meet and the possibility of an immediate gratification if you hit it off. Unfortunately, there is also a disadvantage that you must be aware of. Some of the t-girls you meet, especially at bars, will be prostitutes, will have STDs or will have substance abuse issues. It’s true that you could run into this anywhere, but be extra careful when you’re in the bar scene where alcohol might cloud judgment. Hey, we’re all about fun and having a good time, but please do so safely. Let common sense guide you and be careful!
Patience and perseverance are good qualities
Be prepared to sort through a number of t-girls or admirers before you meet the person who is just right for you. “You better shop around” is pretty sound advice. Don’t rush into a bad situation. Be selective about your friends. Then, you’ll have a mutually beneficial relationship based on trust and respect. Did we mention hot fun. Hell yes, you’ll have hot fun! I assure you that there is someone out there hoping they’ll find you!
